However you work, Peil works with you.
Even without an hourly rate on the invoice
You log your hours; Peil works out what you earn per hour.
While the job is still running
If it overruns, you see your rate drop before you deliver.
And they simply count
Every hour you log counts toward the 1,225 hours of the urencriterium, the Dutch hours test for self-employment deductions.
Four ways to organise your work.
A folder to group your own work, and three ways a client pays: by the hour, one agreed amount, or a fixed amount per period.
Hourly
You invoice the hours you work, at the client’s rate.
Fixed
One amount for the whole job, with a bar that shows how far along you are.
RetainerPro
A fixed amount per month, quarter or year.
Regular client, fixed amount, steady rhythm.
You set the amount, the hours and the period, and Peil prepares the next invoice as a draft each time. Meanwhile you keep logging what you actually do, so you see how much time that client really takes.
You press send
Nothing goes out by itself.
The amount stays the same
Your view of what it costs you doesn’t.
Pick your type, the rest follows.
The form adapts: a budget for fixed projects, an amount and an interval for a retainer, and otherwise only what you need.
A fixed price of €9,500, divided by 83 hours. If it runs to 110, it’s €86.
Folders, hourly and fixed projects are in the free plan. Retainers are part of Peil Pro.
Do I have to log hours if I agree a fixed price?
You don’t have to, but we recommend it. You don’t invoice them separately, but they tell you what the job earned per hour: the agreed amount divided by the hours you logged. That number moves as you work, so you see it during the job, not only at the final invoice.
What if my client pays a fixed amount each month?
Then you create a retainer: an amount and a number of hours per period. Your hours stay visible, so you know how much time that client really takes and what you earn per hour.
What does working with projects cost?
Folders, hourly projects and fixed projects with a budget are in the free plan. Only retainers are part of Peil Pro.
Do I always need a project?
No, a client is enough to log hours. Create a project once you want to keep jobs apart, or once you work with a fixed price or a retainer.
Whatever you agree, you see what your work is worth.
You work by the hour, for a fixed price or on a retainer. Peil keeps your hours and turns them into what you actually keep.
